I've noticed a lot of designers have come out with either sweatpants or lounge pants. I kinda like it. It may sound silly, but there are days I just want my avi to let her hair down in a way. I have a couple pair of these pants in my inventory, but decided to focus on a pair from Izzie's. Possibly because they're the most recent ones I purchased and I'm lazy.

Just because mesh is the new awesome, I don't want you to think I've forgotten the oldies-but-goodies. I fell into my inventory and pulled out this hair I got over two years ago... as well as this cardigan. These flats are still some of the best on the grid, and they're pretty "old", as well. Hello, Pretty!

Hi there! Last night, I stumbled back to the Festival of Sin (on through March 3rd!). My first time there, I was mostly just looking. Last night, I bought a few things. I couldn't wait to show you at least one of the things, though. I found a new-to-me skin place! I KNOW! I'm under no misconception that I know all skin designers by any means, but I feel I have a pretty good handle on them. This is from a shop called "Felony". When I walked in, I was immediately intrigued. These were very pretty! I snagged the demo of two skins and when I tried this one on, my reaction was, "Oh, wow!". It took my avatar and managed to make her look a little exotic. I can't say I'll wear it all the time, but I am really glad I found this skin. Meet Shiloh by Felony:

Sunday Funnies...

I've been a quiet girl this week. Sorry! And I don't have a fashion post today, really. Well, sorta... but not really. I wanted to share an experience!

Last week, Mr. O and I decided we were going to go check out a club we had rarely been to. He likes it when I people watch because I don't hold my opinions back when it's just the two of us talking, and it usually makes him laugh. We ended up at Gol.. or Element.. or whatever the name of that club is. When we got there, we realized that for all the people this place had in there, almost no one was dancing. What's a couple in need of entertainment supposed to do with that? Well, naturally, we dug out the silliest dances we had in our inventory (and they were pretty ridiculous), and proceeded to make a spectacle of ourselves.

We laughed ourselves to tears and decided to come prepared this week. We went to my favorite dance place, MyAnimations (they have superior dance anims!), and found some of the most ridiculous dances we could. We pulled from the Robotic, Kids, and Country categories, slapped them in a chim and headed back to... whatever the name the club goes by. Here's just a small sample of our dorkiness:

Aren't we cute?! I was absolutely turned off by the gesture-spamming of our host, though. Even if I liked club music, it would be difficult for me to stay somewhere with a host that has this to say within the first 2 minutes of my arrival:

Gesturbator! I would say she just did this because the shift was ending, but she was the host the week before when we were there, and it was just like that through almost the entire set. Eesh!

As it turns out, though, it's a great place to avi-watch. -And a majority of them were well dress, well done avis!

Bored on a Sunday?

I don't have a pic for today, BUT... if you're looking for something to do, there's a great event going on from Feb 18 - March 3! Festival of Sin is now open. I'll be checking it out today... if I can get in!

ON A SIDE NOTE: I know we always want to look fabulous everywhere, but be considerate of the other attendees and take off heavily scripted items! (Shoes, hair!!) Thrown on a skin with a hair base if you don't want to look bald, then toss on jeans and a t-shirt. Think "redneck chic" and go without shoes! All the cool kids do it at these things! It totally cuts down on the lag! XOXO

I'm not sure...

I'm not too sure how I feel about this hair. It's Exile mesh. I have mixed feelings about it, but I love the IDEA of it. The mesh hair is getting better and better, and Truth finally got in the mesh game. I really can't wait to see what else he comes up with. A Couple of Things...

Hiii, guys! I really wanted to share one of these with you last week, but I ran out of time... OR I was just lazy. Either, really. Anyway, my favorite new skin is Briar by [Aura] . I really think this skin suites just about anyone. Elle and I have very different faces, but it looked just as fabulous on her as it did me. Check it out:

Also, Pink Fuel is set to release the Alex skin soon. Right now, she has a preview in her store for just 99L. I'll difinitely try it when the full line comes out, but I'm not sure if I like it better than the Briar on ME.

I love, love, love new skins. I can't even tell you how many I have. I used to (long ago) wear just one or two from the same line. I felt like I couldn't change skins because then I was changing my "look". But change is good! Especially if it's for the better. ;) I hope you go check out these two! XOXO

Ok, I don't think this comes as a surprise to anyone, but let me just state it right here, right now: SL feet leave so much to be desired. Just a Quickie!

I was recently being taunted about how much I can't live without mesh now that I've understood its purpose in my SLife... because I couldn't stand it when it first came out.

It's true!! I was determined to be the hold-out! Clinging to my primmy ways! And while it's also true that there are some items I think don't necessarily NEED to be mesh... that will not stop me from trying them!

As I said, I spent this week shopping like a crazy woman! And it was really all about MESH! ColdLogic opened, and I even went back to other places (Celoe, Maitreya) to get a couple more things. I was out of control, to be honest.

ANNNNDDDD... I succumbed to the pressure and tried the new Aura skin, called Briar. I was so hoping I would hate it. I was not that lucky. I LOVE IT!!! So so pretty. If you haven't gotten over to try it, you really should. It's exceptional, and Tyr Rozenblum really raised the bar from her Grixdale skins with this one (NOT that those were bad, this is just better!). Absolutely awesome. I'll feature it soon!

Ohhi!

I'm light on blog pics this week, and it's my fault. I spent all of last week falling in love with my alt in her Bella skin. This week, though, I have been a shopping fiend.

I AM going to show off a look today, though. In honor of mesh, and all that is good about it, I am featuring a piece that no mesh lover should be without. The Celoe Lolong trousers! Personally, when I tried these on, I began to realize just how good mesh could be. A nice, straight line trouser that moves with the body. Just beautiful!
