Brow Beating

Ok, so sometimes I decide I want to do something. And usually... I get it done and all is good. Well, this one time.. I called on my friend Cole to help me highlight some male/female poses... but they didn't make it through my questionable editing process fast enough. He was sadface, so I promised him a blog post. Maitreya Jeans!

Maitreya recently released several items, among them... this fantastic flared mesh jean in 8 colors. Other than the Buid jeans I blogged earlier this month, I had yet to find a pair of MESH jeans that didn't make me look like an "invisible pony rider". The gap is a little wider than my true shape, but nothing too shocking. Maitreya did very well with this release. Jeans, tanks, HAIR, and a very pretty dress. Make sure you check them out here.

Izzie's Dailyn Skin

Izzie's released a new skin named Dailyn. While it's not ground-breaking, it's very pretty! Again, if you or a friend is looking for a good skin bargain, Izzie's is most certainly worth a look. Her technique continues to improve. Case and point: The lips on this skin are lovely and lush. 1170L for a fatpack, it comes with 4 different brow options, which is always awesome! Bubblegum!

One of my favorite bloggers instated "Bubblegum Weekends" several months (or more!) ago.. inspiring us to go a little crazy with pink hair on the weekends. I've never done it! Until now. Izzie's Cuteness!

Hiiii! So, I headed over to one of my favorite stores in SL, Izzie's. I can always find something cute there. And, sure enough, I did! Cut off shorts and a precious striped tank! This tank reminds me of something I wore as a kid.. but, you know, without the boobs.

Also, if you're looking for a good price on a pretty skin, Izzie's should be on your list. She offers fatpacks for 990L! I could buy FIVE packs of her skins for the price of one of some of the others I wear! And they're very pretty. The price makes up for any minor flaws I saw.

*Sigh* So, yes... League came out with a new skin. It's called Jen. It's beautiful! This skin seems to look really good on everyone. I've seen it on a lot of different people, and it doesn't disappoint at all. If you're in the market for a new skin, this is one you simply MUST try.

I have something to share for those of you who are super-frustrated with your prim lashes! I picked up the Filthy group gift for April and found these fantastic tattoo layer lashes in it!! I had seen them on a friend who has unusually shaped eyes (more round than almond-shaped), and they looked so good. She didn't have to try to fit them because they fit right away! I don't generally have a huge problem fitting lashes, but really wanted to share these because a.) They look pretty damn good, and b.) It's another fun option for us! If you're not a member of the Filthy group, it is 250L to join, but there are many perks... such as a 50% discount the first weekend a new skin is released.

My Talented Friends!

Forgive my indulgent post today, guys, but seriously, sometimes you just gotta point out awesomeness!!

You all know I have an extremely talented friend in my BFF, Elle Kirshner. She designs furniture in her shop, Second Spaces. She also has a pose shop called Pulling Strings. She started her own look of the day posts on flickr, and she has a ever-so-slightly read (ha!) blog about home stuff in SL. She's done pics for me on this blog, as well, and I suppose I realized recently that I never gave her the enormous props she deserves for all the hard work she puts into making our second lives prettier! THAT being said, I also want to plant a little focus on my friend, Vlad Sharktooth, who is a master with photoshop! He wasn't in SL for a little while, and the first night he actually came around while I was around, I demanded he take my picture! And because he knew I would not shut up until he did, he told me to put on something pretty and he'd indulge me. We did two. One I have linked above, as well as used it for my header... and the other he has yet to finish. He will be taking paid clients as soon as he gets a few things sorted, and finishes the free stuff for his greedy friends! But here is his flickr, and you need to check his stuff out!!

BUY ALL THE PANTS!

There is a FANTASTIC new release at The Sea Hole! I've always loved what Drinkinstein Sorbet comes out with, but these pants really impressed me. I love the texture, and the fit is so pretty! There are several colors available and I can not urge you enough to go check them out!!!

As a side note, I always respect designers who are able to take suggestions with grace. There was an issue with the alpha layer that came with the demo when I first grabbed it. I loved the pants so very much that I dropped a notecard on Drinkinstein and asked if she would consider fixing it. She was extremely gracious, and as it turned out, didn't realize she hadn't put one of the alphas in that she had intended. She was so friendly and understood my intention was not to criticize. In fact, it was completely selfish because I wanted those pants, damnit! ;) Thanks for being SO awesome!

Ok, now I want to point out the awesomeness that I discovered via another blogger! Ohmaiblog had this eyeliner on display a few days ago (here!) . I loved the look of it and followed the link to Marketplace and bought this pack of eyeliners by Soapherian, and they're totes awesome! I liked it SO much, I decided to buy a pack for a friend, too! Get it now!

That's like saying "peanut butter and chocolate" to me. It's such a yummy combination! This weekend, Maitreya released some basics that I am soomgahsuperexcited about! Jeans, boots, leggings, and my personal favorite has to be the mesh skirts available in tons of colors and three lengths! Below the knee, above the knee, and mini. Yeah, I can see myself needing several of these...
