More ColdLogic! Yay! I really think Celoe did such an excellent job with the Lolong trousers, but ColdLogic took the concept of slacks and made them friendlier for the average avi. I love, love, love these pants. And the shirts they made to go along with them? Fabulous! I feature them in this sexier-than-average "business" outfit:

FIRST... ColdLogic = Awesome. Beautiful basics all in mesh. I'm going to show off my first purchase that I was crazy about, with more to come! I kinda feel like I stepped right out of the 70's in this jumper, but I think it looks comfortable and fun:

But now, I feel compelled to discuss something with you all. I've seen a disturbing trend in mesh wear the past couple of days. If you've tried mesh, you understand that you're probably going to have to modify yourself just a bit. I have two shapes. I have my "normal" one, and I have my "mesh" one. I've done very little modification to the mesh shape so that everything is proportionate when I put on mesh. That would be the key word: PROPORTION. What I've been seeing, however, is that some would rather have pants that look too big than to modify themselves just a smidge so they can fit themselves into the size that looks right on their avatar. In my opinion, this defeats the entire purpose of mesh. Mesh is supposed to make smooth lines and move with the body. If your pants/shirt/dress are too big, you're not really "doing it right", and that's a shame because mesh is amazing!! (And I will take a picture if I see another avi like this because it looks ridiculous!)

I'm not sure...

I'm not too sure how I feel about this hair. It's Exile mesh. I have mixed feelings about it, but I love the IDEA of it. The mesh hair is getting better and better, and Truth finally got in the mesh game. I really can't wait to see what else he comes up with. Here's a quickie snapshot of the Exile mesh called "Rivers Run"!

Just a Quickie!

I was recently being taunted about how much I can't live without mesh now that I've understood its purpose in my SLife... because I couldn't stand it when it first came out.

It's true!! I was determined to be the hold-out! Clinging to my primmy ways! And while it's also true that there are some items I think don't necessarily NEED to be mesh... that will not stop me from trying them!

As I said, I spent this week shopping like a crazy woman! And it was really all about MESH! ColdLogic opened, and I even went back to other places (Celoe, Maitreya) to get a couple more things. I was out of control, to be honest.

ANNNNDDDD... I succumbed to the pressure and tried the new Aura skin, called Briar. I was so hoping I would hate it. I was not that lucky. I LOVE IT!!! So so pretty. If you haven't gotten over to try it, you really should. It's exceptional, and Tyr Rozenblum really raised the bar from her Grixdale skins with this one (NOT that those were bad, this is just better!). Absolutely awesome. I'll feature it soon!

My photographer and I spent the weekend working on another project, so I am just posting a random pic I took at my own home as I wrote this. XOXO

I'm light on blog pics this week, and it's my fault. I spent all of last week falling in love with my alt in her Bella skin. This week, though, I have been a shopping fiend.

I AM going to show off a look today, though. In honor of mesh, and all that is good about it, I am featuring a piece that no mesh lover should be without. The Celoe Lolong trousers! Personally, when I tried these on, I began to realize just how good mesh could be. A nice, straight line trouser that moves with the body. Just beautiful!

Get it?! I'm so clever! Except I didn't MAKE this mesh... I'm just wearing it. Whatever.

If you said pants, you're totally... WRONG! Ok, now I'm just being obnoxious. It's MAH HAIR! I skipped over to Wasabi Pills and picked up a few demos of their mesh hair. Only a couple really worked on me, but I loved the starkness of this style. I don't really have anything like it, believe it or not. Mesh hair is... OK. I have to admit, I probably wouldn't choose it over Truth 99.999999% of the time. But it was something different and fun! Here's a close-up:

Oh, I have no doubt this blog will be full of Maitreya mesh in time. Don't get me wrong, there are some good mesh products out there that aren't Maitreya, and I will feature them, too. Celoe (Lelutka/mon tissu) set the bar by presenting beautiful mesh, and (in MY opinion), Maitreya raised it. I present you with the beautiful Athena sweater, and the Radical Boots! And second, I just want to say a thing or two about mesh. I've really been digging back through the blogs for cute mesh stuff I want to go try on. I think for a long time, I resisted because I was worried I would actually like it... and I knew people weren't updating their viewers. Well, now I'm no longer concerned. If I look like I'm wearing luggage or a donut to them, they're the ones missing out!

If you're reading this and you haven't updated to a mesh viewer, you really need to. Phoenix, Firestorm, and the regular viewer all have mesh enabled. Please do yourself a favor and update.
