Let's Chat...

FIRST... ColdLogic = Awesome. Beautiful basics all in mesh. I'm going to show off my first purchase that I was crazy about, with more to come! I kinda feel like I stepped right out of the 70's in this jumper, but I think it looks comfortable and fun:

But now, I feel compelled to discuss something with you all. I've seen a disturbing trend in mesh wear the past couple of days. If you've tried mesh, you understand that you're probably going to have to modify yourself just a bit. I have two shapes. I have my "normal" one, and I have my "mesh" one. I've done very little modification to the mesh shape so that everything is proportionate when I put on mesh. That would be the key word: PROPORTION. What I've been seeing, however, is that some would rather have pants that look too big than to modify themselves just a smidge so they can fit themselves into the size that looks right on their avatar. In my opinion, this defeats the entire purpose of mesh. Mesh is supposed to make smooth lines and move with the body. If your pants/shirt/dress are too big, you're not really "doing it right", and that's a shame because mesh is amazing!! (And I will take a picture if I see another avi like this because it looks ridiculous!)

A Couple of Things...

Hiii, guys! I really wanted to share one of these with you last week, but I ran out of time... OR I was just lazy. Either, really. Anyway, my favorite new skin is Briar by [Aura] . I really think this skin suites just about anyone. Elle and I have very different faces, but it looked just as fabulous on her as it did me. Check it out:

Also, Pink Fuel is set to release the Alex skin soon. Right now, she has a preview in her store for just 99L. I'll difinitely try it when the full line comes out, but I'm not sure if I like it better than the Briar on ME.

I love, love, love new skins. I can't even tell you how many I have. I used to (long ago) wear just one or two from the same line. I felt like I couldn't change skins because then I was changing my "look". But change is good! Especially if it's for the better. ;) I hope you go check out these two! XOXO

Just a Quickie!

I was recently being taunted about how much I can't live without mesh now that I've understood its purpose in my SLife... because I couldn't stand it when it first came out.

It's true!! I was determined to be the hold-out! Clinging to my primmy ways! And while it's also true that there are some items I think don't necessarily NEED to be mesh... that will not stop me from trying them!

As I said, I spent this week shopping like a crazy woman! And it was really all about MESH! ColdLogic opened, and I even went back to other places (Celoe, Maitreya) to get a couple more things. I was out of control, to be honest.

ANNNNDDDD... I succumbed to the pressure and tried the new Aura skin, called Briar. I was so hoping I would hate it. I was not that lucky. I LOVE IT!!! So so pretty. If you haven't gotten over to try it, you really should. It's exceptional, and Tyr Rozenblum really raised the bar from her Grixdale skins with this one (NOT that those were bad, this is just better!). Absolutely awesome. I'll feature it soon!
